The location is fabulous, and subtly brought to life through the characters in the stories. The lead characters are always interesting, and we learn little details about them, which make them memorable, and immediately more real.
I liked Finn's direct and practical take on life, and yet she has a love of reading BDSM – she is, however, a little more nervous of diving into the same thing. Coll has been searching for his perfect sub for a while, little expecting one to land injured on his doorstep. As things get more complicated, they are both tested, but Ms. McAllan can be relied upon for a positive outcome.
This series is definitely in my reread pile, for its perfect blend of story and D/s.

I liked the way the author used descriptive language to help make the setting familiar. In addition to a good dose of chemistry between the characters, there is also an element of suspense. Coupled together, these characteristics make for an enjoyable story.
