Right from the start, Kat’s story draws you right in. She is such a strong woman to stand up for herself in this time period where woman are nothing but property. She is feisty and I love that about her. Geoffrey is not at all what Kat makes him out to be. He is fierce but loving and caring especially with his beloved Kat. Their rekindled love through the story is well written. The teasing that Geoff does makes me smile. The chemistry between the two is amazing. The story was cleverly written with the twist and turns that will leave you smiling. A great story.

This is another type of story that I love to read, the reunited lovers, make it a historical story and I am in heaven. Geoffrey and Kat met as children and as they grew into adulthood, the stirrings of love (and lust) are all around them and they give in to their passion. Her father has already promised her to another, Geoffrey ends up leaving her and she is left heartbroken. Some years later, word reaches Geoffrey that his beloved (as he has never forgotten her) is being held against her will. He moves in to rescue and brings her back to life. It takes him a bit to convince her that she holds his heart in his hands. Great explanations of the times during the ruling of King John and everyday life in a castle is what I truly enjoy reading plus the great romance and hot sexy scenes make it an even more enjoyable story for me.Review by Jeep Diva
With a clever set of characters that mix the real and the imagined to set a scene wholly reminiscent of the early 13th century, Cerise deLand has created a lovely story that provides readers with background information to understand the character’s motivations even if they (like I ) have not read the first two in the series. With some steamy sex, declarations of love and the well-described connection between Geoffrey and Kat add steam and sizzle to this installment, and provide a ready sense of the happy for now with potential for more to come.
