an excellent plot, superb characters and some of the best scene setting I've read in an erotic romance so far, I was truly Taken...one for the burn-baby-burn pile, Scorchio!!!

This was an awesome book! I was hooked within the first page. The characters were great! Zori is so strong willed and hates the thought of love and having someone there. And you'll never guess what she is! Its not human. ;) You'll have to read to find out. Greyson is a wolf and see Zori as his mate. Can you see where this is going? They have a battle of wills and the chemistry...wow! I think i got singed just reading it! This story is by far my favorite of hers. If you had asked last week, it would have been As You Wish was my favorite. Vandor..hot! His story was great too! All i can say is, Nichelle writes great stories, if you want a taste of her work, read her free stories. Her work gets better and better from there!

If Taken by Surprise suffers from anything, it suffers being a novella. I'd have loved to have seen this story developed into a full length novel. The characters are intriguing and the tension between hero and heroine keeps you reading. I don't want to give out spoilers for this story but I will say that Ms Gregory has written a seriously hot story. She excels with dialogue, not an easy task for an author and her sex scenes sizzle and leave you wanting more and more. This story has the potential to develop into a series and I hope that the author considers that. I'd like to know more about the world inhabited by Zori and Greyson. A personal plea though would be to make the stories longer. There's a lot to explore here and Ms Gregory has more than enough talent to do the job. I'll be looking out for more of her writing and if she continues to build upon the world that she's created in this book, then I'm sure that I won't be disappointed. I've marked down the star rating solely because of the length of the novella. There was so much more I wanted to know but word count didn't allow for that.
