Charlotte Taylor
Charlotte—or Lola as she's known in Celebland—is an everyday, girl-next-door who finds it a struggle at first when she's thrust into the limelight. With her beachy-blonde hair and natural good looks, she’s the UK's new singing darling. All Charlotte wants to be is happy, and with the madness of stardom surrounding her, she’s verging on losing her identity. But then she goes on holiday, and everything changes—her outlook, her well-being, and even the smile on her face. She’s pretty as a picture inside and out!
Blake Hudson
Blake's an all-round sexy guy. He’s fit, toned, and has the chiselled good looks of the hero in many women's dreams. With a personality that screams Alpha Male, he makes Charlotte go weak at the knees. A businessman on a mission, he rarely has time for relationships—plus he doesn’t trust people easily. So when Charlotte comes along, he’s astounded by how quickly he falls for her. He willingly gives his heart to her…and readers will fall in love with him too!
Rupert aka Roo-Roo
Rupert is Charlotte's best friend. He’s a makeup artist and spends so much time in Celebland he may as well be a star himself. He's gay, flamboyant, and a total scream. His outlook is sunny and he's always up for fun. Throwing himself into parties, Rupert has no qualms about dancing the night away. But hurt Charlotte/Lola, and you risk his wrath. No one is allowed to hurt his petal—no one!
David
David is Charlotte's manager. His dark looks might make anyone think he's uncaring, as does his demeanour, but he's a businessman through and through and has no time for time-wasters. His job is to take care of Charlotte and her career, and nothing will get in the way of that. He's a father-like figure to her, guiding her along the sometimes rocky paths of Celebland, but underneath all the quiet brooding, he has a heart of gold and only wants the best for Charlotte.
Jenna
Jenna is Charlotte's sister. Four years older than Charlotte, she’s had a little more experience in life and looks at things very differently to her sibling. She's ace at giving Charlotte advice, and her glass is always half full. Her work in a nursing home means she gets attached to the residents easily, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. She’s always on hand to support Charlotte—even if it is only as an invisible voice in Charlotte’s mind when the pair are apart.
Dad
Dad doesn't believe in wasting money. He’s been brought up without much to spend on extras, and raising Charlotte and Jenna has sometimes been a struggle. He has an eye for a bargain and prefers to find things cheaper, so it boggles his mind that the amount of money Charlotte can now spend on things is so vast. He won’t accept anything but gifts from his famous daughter, and remains in the family home. His mantra is to live life how he wants to and he urges his children to do the same. He's Charlotte’s rock and the only man who thinks she makes the best cuppa ever.
Johnny Bravo
Johnny Bravo is a man in the music industry that no one wants to cross. He can make or break a career if he feels like it and commands respect. With his dark quiff, white suit, and a shirt rarely buttoned to the top, he's a regular medallion man. The women on his arm tend to be super pretty, trophy girlfriends, and he’s always on the lookout for the next victim—er…love interest. His roving eyes are more famous than he is, not to mention his seriously hairy chest. He fancies Charlotte and secretly wishes she was his.
Snorters
Snorters… These models are super thin and hooked on staying that way. They're at every party, every event, and all of them are London’s most sought-after models. As well as walking up and down runways, attending photo shoots and working themselves into a frenzy, they tend to veer on the side of danger. Drugs and alcohol play a big part in their lives and they're living in a never-ending spiral of one celeb bash after another. Charlotte wishes she could help them—but Snorters make it clear they don’t want anyone's help, least of all hers…
Deborah
Deborah is the woman everyone loves to hate. She's gorgeous, with her dark hair and perfect looks, and a body that seems to defy gravity. However, she knows she's beautiful and uses it to her advantage. She always has her eye on the next best thing—usually a man—and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Deborah loves selling stories to newspapers and spying on her fellow celebrity friends. She dislikes Charlotte immensely and has no problem showing it. Beware of upsetting this woman—she’s to be avoided at all costs if possible!
